What is the Sri Lanka Weather like

it´s frequent ask question of outdoor travelers like you more often by cycling and trekking in Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is an island country. It is located south-east of India , and almost on the equator just 830 km north, it makes special by the two zenith passages of the sun (that is, when it shines directly overhead in the sky at mid-day), which occur in early April 5th to 15th and early September between 28th August and 5th September and has tropical monsoon climate with hot, humid weather all year round With an average temperature of around 27 - 28°C, Sri Lanka is one of the finest and warm countries for traveling in the world. It’s known “Country with the eternal summer” for reason.

There are two monsoons that affect the island’s climate – the north-east monsoon which can serve the whole island between November to February These monsoon winds are slightly more unpredictable; they bring rains heavily some years, barely at all in others, and can affect all parts of the country (not only the northern and eastern regions). and the south-western monsoon runs between May and July. This tends to be the gentler of the two monsoons and, as the name suggests, affects only the southwest of the country.
